I haven't been here in over a month.  What's changed since then??

 

I think they are the story of my life...going to Gates to take some pics of my sis and some of her friends before prom - and to retrieve Abby.

How about I just tell you about the cool new scrapbook products I whipped up today for The Digi Chick - very cool stuff too if I might say so myself!

 

I made some overlays (can be used as clipping masks too), and 4 sets of brushes :)  I have a TON more stuff I need to do - like a new set of textures...but I am SO SLOW...no, I work quickly - but staying on task is a terrible issue for me!!

 

Anyhow, let's see about adding those new images...

My Publisher is having a 50% off any order of $100 or more sale (good time to order your hard bound scrapbooks - they won't crop your stuff to fit the page (unless you want them to).

 

Kurt got the outside of the canoe fiberglassed and is now sanding the inside to do it next - looks pretty sharp - will put up an album for the canoe pics.  Wish he'd make a blog for that - would be a good exercise for him and feed his ego because I am sure many would find it super cool.

 

Abby and Ruby fight and it's funny - Ruby is a brute and clobbers Ab - who just stands there and says, "'eeee eeee - she's hitting me"   well, no duh.  MOVE??

My new niece is here!!  Miss Cherry didn't have it all so easy  however she and Shaye Morgan Reeves are both doing fine!  My new niece was born at 5:28 pm at Alaska Regional Hospital (and soon her cute lil' picture should be in their new nursery photos).  She is 19 inches long and was 7# - and she's super cute and plans to take up opera as soon as she can stand.  Casey is thrilled and Charity probably is too even though she's heavily drugged after her c-section.  Pictures are at the end, only a couple - I am trying to edit out some of the digital noise in the others and will get them uploaded for Case later...not tonight - he promised more pictures tomorrow.  Grandma Martha was there for the big event and they are trying to find a usb cord that will fit the socket on her camera to get her photos too.

 

In other news, Godiva is having their annual after Valentine's Day sale...- HALF OFF CHOCOLATES - now don't y'all rush out and buy them all for me, get a box for yourselves too...  I would like...one box of each.  Thanks in advance.

 

Ruby has terrible tantrums...so I took pictures today - she like her new cousin - will be pursuing opera...

 

No other excitement I suppose...I am not freezing - but then again, Mr. Heater is 3 feet from me full blast.

 

The sprayer on the kitchen sink no longer sticks and sprays everyone near the sink when the faucet is turned on and the operator is expecting the water to come from the tap...not the sprayer.  In fact, it wasn't many days after I got Bill with it that he happened upon a working nozzle unit and brought it over to us...THANKS MAN!  I mean, I only sprayed myself...every time Kurt touched it   Rarely did I actually hit anyone else, I was nearly always the victim...oh, woe is me, poor victim of domestic spraying...well, not anymore.

 

If something is shipped UPS second day air on a thursday...do you get it on saturday or do they make you wait until monday?  man, if i have to wait until monday i am going to be miffed...

I'm cold.  Again.  Still.  However you want to look at it.  Absolutely frozen and unable to get warm.  I hate being cold.

 

Want to know what else I dislike today?  The media.  If me and my friend Sarah went duck huntin' and I accidentally shot her and didn't even kill her, the worst thing that would happen is that I'd be feelin' terrible for shooting her - and she'd be feelin' pretty terrible too.  However, if the Vice President does it - we have to crucify him??  What's up with that - I'm actually surprised some kind of official recreation trip hasn't ended up like this sooner, but dang, does the White House Media staff need to know everything??  Honestly, I think they are just too nosey.  Then we got the Gretzky issue - man - can't you just leave my favorite hockey player EVER - ALONE??  He's a good guy, who cares if his wife has gambling issues - it's not my business and apparently she can afford to blow money...

 

What else, did anything else irritate me today??  Nope.  IN FACT - we went to see Curious George - oh goodness is that a CUTE film!!  Clean.  Very clean!  NOTHING LIKE THE DISNEY GARBAGE I HATE!! (sorry disney fans, i am not one of you) - it did make me cry in one spot - Camden too - but it was SOOO cute :)  And Jack's versions of the songs for the actual film are slightly different (of course) than what is on the soundtrack - but that's cool ;o)  Was worth every cent of the near $50 we spent to take the kids ($29 to get in, $5 popcorn, $12.20 sneaked in treats from dollar tree) - and is actually the first movie we've gone to together - Kurt, me and the kids, in a theater.  I hope the dvd is out soon - I am getting tired of the pre-season release 3 episode promo disk for the PBS series that the girls play multiple times a day - although it's much nicer than Mulan.

 

I know I promised to put the picture links elsewhere, you know, new album so they would show up here, but not be at the end of the blog album...but I lied.  I'm lazy.  This thing is TESTY - and not nearly as customizable as say, blogspot - not that it matters.  How about you check out something else that's cool instead...like...FISHSCRAPS  since I did make the awesome creative team there recently - Carrie has some really cool stuff - and it's different than most of the other stuff out - making for fantastic layouts that actually make me USE my OWN brain :)

 

Alrighty then, it's bedtime - i pulled too many all nighters this week :)

Why didn't someone mention that sooner??  I mean, we all knew Jack Johnson was AWESOME anyhow, but the Curious George Soundtrack??  How much better could it get??  That man is SO awesome - and so is that album!!  Not cheesy songs like you get with Disney movies - but really great, honest and wonderful songs for big and little people!!  Upside Down is soooo cool...well, the entire album is, the 3Rs song - you gotta' get it!!  Buy it from Sony Connect (online) on a Tuesday for $10 and you will get a coupon code for another $10 album free...they have a bogo deal on Tuesdays :)

 

Moving on, have been scrapping pics of that gnarly tree.  It's moving right along - the scrapping that is.  The tree hasn't moved an inch since the last trunk they cut on Sunday afternoon.

 

Spinach.  I have always loved canned spinach, straight from the can, or in a bowl, or civilized and heated - any way...but recently I read the label and realized it's REALLY good for you!!  TONS of vitamins, trace nutrients, minerals, fiber and even PROTEIN!!  It's like - a perfect snack food...but I figured raw would probably be best for you - and it must be somewhat astringent too because my tongue is sure starting to feel funny - and I'd really rather be eating like...fudge brownies...that's why my sit upon is so broad...but man, all of the cute new clothes this season aren't made for ladies with broad sit upons...and I saw some lounge pants/jammies things that were in the Victoria doesn't have any Secrets left catalog that I wanted...and they only go up to moderately large...so motivate me to get up and do something :)

 

I finally got the Riley Armstrong album I wanted, but I still can't find the one that has "Sleep" on it...such a bummer.  Hopefully I will come across it somewhere, that song is sooo ME and so funny!

 

Tree layouts...if you think you need to read the journaling, you should let me know in a comment or an email - and I will get that part to you :)

It wasn't the filling falling out, it was merely a dead root and infection and therefore all I needed was a lil' root canal - and all was good.

 

While I was out - part of the tree in our front yard blew over - so I came back to a mess and large project...I have seen men do crazy stupid things before, but honestly - this one took the cake and Bill wins the prize for scariest act of all...LINK TO ALBUM 1 of the tree fun.  LINK TO ALBUM 2 of the tree fun.  I figure it's easiest to leave them at Club Photo and let you check things out there than it was to upload little ones all over the place.  In case you didn't notice - the capital letter blocks are the links ;)

 

In other news.  Ruby isn't very nice today.  She is being super mean to Abigail - sitting on her while she's resting (because they are wimpy, whiny and suffering from colds), pulling her hair, hitting her - and then telling us she's not going to listen to us...because WE are talking naughty to her...smack 'er :)

 

We have promised to get Camden his own alarm clock, although I am not convinced that after the first week he will want to get up any more than he did before he had one.  He says otherwise, but he's a boy and he's not even 10 until next month...so I don't believe him.

 

Anyhow, I got stuffs I should be doing - sorry about the quality of the tree pics - the clouds come and go so much - who has time to adjust settings...I suppose that's what they make auto settings for ;)

more complaints, just for mindy - but you would complain too if your filling (that should have been a root canal with crown) fell out...

 

i am in the salem area tonight, packed up the pc and tools so i could work on stuff for thedigichick...i really need to trade my pc in for a laptop...

Actually, freezing is a better word for it.  And I can't get warm.  It's awful.

 

Let's see...I scrapped a ton yesterday.  I will put the layouts in a new album, see the albums.  I am working on scrapping some stuff for Rebecca DiGrazio, she's got some really nice new stuff out.

 

I am mad at Kurt.  Men are dumb.  They do dumb things, they be big jerks, then they pretend they don't have a CLUE why you could even be slightly irritated with them and certainly are put out when they figure out that irritated does not even begin to cover how you are feeling about them. 

 

Sure wish I could warm up, Camden tried to convince me this afternoon that it was "frying hot" outside...um, yeah...that would explain the freezing cold draft every time he opened the door and came in red cheeked and nosed to warm himself...

Yeah, it counts as daily life and not just scrapping.

I went to bed at like 5 this morning - well, really around 2 but couldn't sleep.  Got up at 7 and have scrapped most of the day.  Am going through folders of photos that need my attention.

 

I made some cookies.  1 box cake mix, 1 cube melted butter, 2 eggs - dump in some choco chips...bake at 350° and remove them before they burn and smoke up your kitchen.  :)  Guess who skipped over that last bit??  That's right, I did.

 

So, right, I was going to LINK you from now on to a gallery instead of adding more pics to the dumb blog album...hmmm...how to do that conveniently...well, the bottom line is that it's not convenient right now.  Bummer for you :)  Click the thumbs, the larger opens up, or scroll to the end of the blog photos album :)

 

I am freezing.  The girls are freezing.  Abby kept getting too close to the little electric heater so I made her shut it off...way to punish us all...

 

There are spots of YELLOW SUNSHINE peeking through the trees and through my windows!  Small ones...over the bay, well, you can't see the bay, it's all fog.  Thick too.

 

Right, so that's about all the excitement, so I will go back to scrapping and chatting with Mindy...

I don't really think it's all night so long as I am in bed before Kurt gets up.

did you know i am on ashley's ct?  you are figuring it out though i suppose.  ct work is a good motivator - you get to scrap with things you wouldn't necessarily choose, you have a reason you need to scrap pictures that you took and forgot about, you get to scrap with tons of great things that cost you only your time and true creative effort, and you get the opportunity to share your stories, good and bad, with many others - isn't that wonderful?

 

i just finished this of kurt's eyes - i took it mostly as a joke - but he has really pretty eyes - doesn't he?  sometimes i lose focus of the little things, so i wanted to refocus - so i took this opportunity with ashley's "hot for you" kit at modscraps, to do just that.

 

at any rate - i think it's my bedtime now - nevermind - camden just got up AGAIN.  please - someone - keep me from harming this child :)

Look, recent pics from Saturday at the Beach.  Was almost sundown.  Abby found this big seaweed (well big compared to her size) and wanted to know if that was a plant from the ocean - she's so cute :)  I got lots of pics of Abby to scrap - because E woudn't get out of the car and Ruby wouldn't wake up lol.

Kayla Alsworth broke her arm last night :(  They were goofing off and playing around, wrestling and such - and poor Kayla got broken - how awful - Elizabeth says it's her fault.
